The BLVD Entertainment Center

The BLVD is a large entertainment and dining destination combining restaurant, bars, bowling, laser tag, arcade gaming, and social event spaces into a single venue designed for families, groups, and corporate gatherings.

As Project Architect and Project Manager, I served as primary client contact and led zoning and code due diligence, consultant coordination, specialty vendor integration, and construction administration, ensuring all occupancies functioned together safely and efficiently.

The approximately 42,000–45,000 SF facility required careful planning to support operations, maintain schedule, and deliver a buildable high traffic public venue aligned with the client’s business goals.

The UltraStar Multi-tainment Center is a family oriented entertainment expansion providing bowling, arcade gaming, dining, and social spaces separate from the casino floor.

As Project Architect and Project Manager, I served as primary client contact and led zoning and code due diligence, consultant coordination, specialty vendor integration, and construction administration for the multi use assembly facility.

The approximately 41,000 SF center includes 16 bowling lanes, a 2,200 SF arcade, and a 260 seat restaurant with dual bar areas, requiring coordination of multiple occupancy types while maintaining operational functionality and schedule.

This project involved the tenant fit-out of a medical device manufacturing and distribution headquarters supporting anesthesia and respiratory care products for global healthcare markets. The facility houses production, warehousing, cleanrooms, and administrative offices within a single coordinated operation.

As Project Architect and Senior Project Manager, I led zoning and code due diligence, coordinated the design and engineering team, and provided full project and construction administration to support regulated manufacturing requirements.

The approximately 30,000 SF facility required integration of cleanroom environments, logistics operations, and office functions while meeting FDA and ISO quality standards and maintaining operational efficiency.

Fox Subaru Dealership
Grand Rapids, MI

Fox Subaru is a state of the art dealership serving as the primary Subaru sales and service center for the Grand Rapids region, designed to meet current Subaru facility standards and support high volume operations.

As Project Architect and Senior Project Manager, I led zoning and code due diligence, coordinated the design and engineering team, and provided full project and construction administration to align the facility with brand requirements and operational efficiency.

The approximately 49,600–50,000 SF two level building on a 6.25 acre site includes showroom, customer lounge, 22 service bays, express and EV service lanes, and parking for over 400 vehicles, requiring detailed planning to support large scale service and customer throughput.

ZF Automotive Technology Center

The ZF Automotive Technology Center is a research and corporate services campus supporting development of advanced vehicle technologies including ADAS, braking systems, and electrification for North American operations.

As Project Architect and Senior Project Manager, I performed zoning and code review, provided project design oversight, conducted QA/QC peer review of construction documents prepared by the local architect, and supported construction delivery.

The facility includes 16 laboratories, collaborative office environments, and regional corporate functions supporting approximately 700 employees, requiring coordination of technical research spaces with office operations and international project standards.

This project is a mixed use development combining residential apartments, office space, and street level retail that contributed to the redevelopment of Lansing’s Stadium District and activation of the downtown corridor.

As Project Architect and Project Manager, I led zoning and code due diligence, design coordination, tenant fit out planning, detailing, and construction administration while managing the design and engineering team throughout delivery.

The approximately 102,500 SF building includes about 40 residential units with commercial and service tenants, requiring coordination of multiple occupancy types and long term flexibility for evolving tenant spaces.

This project consisted of a 40,000 SF pre-engineered metal building addition supporting surgical instrument manufacturing, assembly, and warehouse operations while maintaining uninterrupted activity in the existing facility.

As Senior Project Manager and Project Architect, I led planning through construction, coordinating the client, consultants, and contractor while overseeing design, documentation review, and construction administration.

The expansion required integration of new structure, utilities, and building systems with the active facility, delivering flexible production space that improved operational efficiency and supported future growth.
